Do you only have one seating at 6:15 pm? 

Yes, we'll kick off the evening with apertivo and light bites as guests arrive beginning at 6:15 PM. 

 

Do you have a bar? 

Our sister restaurant, Southwark, has a bar if you’d like to arrive early – or stay late – and spend some time there. Dinner begins with apertivo and each course is served with a unique wine pairing.  

 

What are your beverage options?  

We offer a wine pairing that coincides with your meal. Our wine pairings spotlight producers of conscience and skill from all around the world. Expect iconic wines as well as wines from young, boundary-breaking producers.

 

Do you serve non-alcoholic beverages? 

Yes, we can absolutely provide non-alcoholic options and mocktails, though these are not paired with each course. 
 

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions? 

At this time, we are unable to accommodate certain food allergies or dietary preferences, specifically those that cover an entire food category such as gluten, dairy, vegetarian, and vegan.

Is there parking near the restaurant? 

There are two paid lots at the corners of 3rd and Bainbridge Street and 5th and Bainbridge Street. There is also street parking, but evenings and weekends are typically busy in the area and there isn’t always availability. 

 

What is your dress code? 

Many of our guests join us for a special occasion but come as you’re comfortable. We ask that hats be removed during service and that shorts and flip-flops stay home.  

 

What is included in the price of the meal? 

The price includes a multi-course tasting menu and wine pairing. It does not include any additional beverages or tax and gratuity.  

 

How many courses does the tasting menu include? 

Our culinary team will lead you through a Modern Italian tasting menu of 8-10 courses based upon tradition and personal connection, combined with innovative preparations highlighting our region’s finest products. The tasting menu begins with shared light bites and apertivo, and ends with dessert and amaro. The experience lasts about three hours. 

 

What if I am running late? 

If you are running more than 15 minutes late, please let us know by calling our sister restaurant, Southwark, at 267-930-8538. 

 

Do I need a reservation to dine at Ambra? 

Yes, reservations are available online at Resy for groups of 2-4 for the Dining Room or Kitchen Counter.   

 

Can I book the whole room? 

Absolutely, we love a party! If you’d like to book a private event, please visit our Events page or email us directly at reservations@ambraphilly.com. 

 

Can I be put on a waitlist? 

At this time, a waitlist option is not available. However, keep an eye on the reservations page as there may be cancellations and spots become available.  

What if I’d like to come as a single diner? 

From time to time, we are able to accommodate this. For more information, please email reservations@ambraphilly.com.  

What is your cancellation policy? 

Any cancellations within 7 days of reservation for parties of 2-4, and within 14 days for parties of 8-12, are subject to the full price of $300 per person.
